I'm currently in the thick of a complete bathroom renovation. I've gutted everything, right down to the studs, and replaced the subfloor. The plumbing and electrical work is sorted, and the drywall is now up. I'm eager to start painting and tiling, but I'm also planning to add decorative wood trim like crown molding and beadboard. Should I paint the entire room with the blank drywall first, or is it better to install the crown molding and beadboard before painting?

Another approach is to paint all the trim before installing it. Just keep in mind that you might need to do some touch-ups afterward once it's in place. Also, it's a good idea to work from the top down and save the floor for last. Makes cleanup way easier!
I suggest giving the walls a coat of paint or primer before you do any trim installations. This way, you avoid scuffing the paint while you're putting up the crown molding and beadboard. After all the installations are done, you can apply a final coat to touch up any spots that might have gotten dinged during the work.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely keep the cleanup in mind.
