I'm currently using a DCW210 random orbital sander, but I've noticed that the large battery needed for decent runtime makes it pretty heavy and tiring to use. I'm thinking about switching to a corded model, like the DWE6423, especially since I normally use it with a shop vac attached, so I'm already tethered. Has anyone used both types? What would you recommend?

I usually grab my cordless sander for quick touch-ups, but when I need to do serious work, I always go for corded. Plus, using a dust extractor really helps keep the workspace clean and extends the life of your sandpaper.
Corded sanders are definitely better for longer tasks! If you're sanding for extended periods, you'll appreciate the steady power without worrying about battery life.
I get that! The cordless can be great for quick jobs, but once you go for 20-30 minutes, it's nice not to worry about running out of juice.
I say go for the corded version. It's a no-brainer if you're doing longer projects.
Have you considered using smaller batteries instead of just the large one? That way, you can switch them out if you need more runtime without the weight issue.
