I replaced two double hung windows in Massachusetts back in 2020 for $4,000. Now that I'm looking at a new place in Rhode Island, I just got a quote for two double hung windows at $2,000. The kicker is that the quote for replacing all 13 windows of my small house came in at $13,000. I was honestly expecting to pay at least double that amount. I'm currently getting a few more quotes, but I can't help but wonder if this $13,000 estimate is too good to be true. I'm looking at white vinyl, double hung, Paradigm brand windows since I'm not after the top-tier options, just something that works better than my current windows from the 90s.

Make sure you clarify exactly what you're getting. Windows can get complicated! Ask about whether they'll be using standard sizes, what repairs are included, and how they'll handle your siding and trim after installation. Those details can make a difference, trust me!
Honestly, $1,000 per window seems pretty standard these days. I did my whole place a couple of years ago for around $800 a window. Just be cautious because some companies can pull sneaky tactics and try to overcharge you!
Agreed!
Your quote looks promising! I did a similar renovation not too long ago and found that buying more windows at once can lead to better discounts. I replaced 25 windows for about $600 each.

Thanks a lot for these insightful questions; I would never have thought to ask!
