I've been having trouble with my garage door remote lately. It only works about 5% of the time, whether I'm using a hand remote or the one from my car. The door sometimes opens but barely, which is confusing. I replaced the sensors today to fix the issue since it was originally not closing correctly. I've also attached a video showing what's going on, in case I've miswired something. I double-checked that all wires are securely tightened. A few years back, I replaced the board and everything was fine until now. The door operates perfectly when I use the wall unit. Any tips would be appreciated!

It could be that some LED lightbulbs are messing with the RF signal for your garage door opener. Try turning all the lights off in the garage and see if that helps. If it turns out to be the bulbs, you can find special LED bulbs made for garage doors that won't interfere. Another option is to extend the antenna on your opener for better reception!
I've had the same LED and CFL bulbs for years without issues, but I tried removing them after reading similar advice and still have the same problem.
You might want to start by changing the battery in your remote. Sometimes that can make a significant difference!
I had the same issue with my car remote and even bought a brand new one, but the problem persisted. I’ll change it out anyway to see if that helps.

I switched to incandescent bulbs meant for ceiling fans, just to avoid the hassle of finding compatible LEDs.
