I recently experienced a power surge, and now my light bulb is acting really weird. I'm trying to replace it with a smart bulb, but it seems stuck and I can't twist or pull it out. Is this common for fixtures? Do I have to toss the whole unit when the bulb goes out? Check out what's inside the fixture [here](https://imgur.com/a/LrfKEDX).

It looks like you've got a disposable fixture there. Unfortunately, when the bulb fails, the entire unit usually needs to be replaced. You might be able to find a replacement bulb, but honestly, it could end up costing more than just getting a new light fixture altogether.
Also, just a thought—check inside the fixture for any manufacturer or model number. Sometimes you can find information that might help if you want to look for a replacement bulb, but in most cases like yours, it's often a whole new fixture situation.
