I'm considering mounting my TV on the wall, but I'm unsure if it's a simple DIY project or if I should hire a handyman instead. I've seen some mounts that don't require hitting any studs, but I'm skeptical about their reliability. Any advice?

You should definitely check out some YouTube tutorials before you start. It's way easier than it seems. If you're really worried about it, you can get a good quality adjustable mount, like the Chief MTM1U. They also have these Toggler brand zip toggles that don't need studs, which can be pretty helpful! All you'll need is a drill, level, and screwdriver to make it happen.
Mounting a TV is actually pretty easy to do yourself! Just make sure you hit at least one stud, and preferably more if your TV is on the heavier side. You'll just need a drill or driver, a level, and either sockets or wrenches to get it done right. Don't stress, you can do it!
I’m not super handy, but I've successfully mounted three TVs over the years! It's one of the simpler DIY tasks you can pick up. I just watched a few YouTube tutorials, made sure I was hitting the studs, and took it slow. It turned out great!
