Hey everyone! My old gas-powered trimmer just died, and I'm looking at the "60V MAX Brushless Cordless Battery Powered Attachment Capable String Trimmer Kit with Edger Attachment." The thing is, I only really need the power head and the edger since my Dewalt string trimmer is still working great. Is the power head available on its own, or does it always come bundled with the string trimmer attachment? Also, these kits seem pretty pricey—do they go on sale? Thanks in advance!

You can't buy just the power head on its own; it always comes with the attachment. As for sales, they do pop up occasionally, so keep an eye out!
I’ve seen some folks who bought the power head plus edger kit only to later find out they couldn’t snag the Dewalt string trimmer attachment separately. But I think Dewalt has improved their availability since then. If I were you, I'd consider selling that 20V string trimmer and use that cash toward the new set. As for sales, Home Depot has a deal where you can get an extra 9Ah battery with your purchase, so check that out!

I've got both the 20V and the 60V trimmers. Trust me, the 60V is a beast! It's got a wider cutting path and handles thick grass and weeds like a champ. Just a heads up, though—it turns artichoke plants into mush, so watch out for that messy cleanup!
