Is this pipe disconnect a serious issue?

I've been dealing with roof leaks for quite some time, and I finally had a roofer replace some shingles to fix the problem. On rainy nights, I like to check my attic to ensure everything's dry. Well, tonight I discovered a pipe that seems to be disconnected, and I'm not sure how long it's been like this. I suspect it might have been compromised during the roofing work. I don't think it's part of my furnace, but it might be connected to my dryer vent or possibly a bathroom fan. Can anyone help me understand how serious this is? Should I be worried?

It really depends on what that pipe was supposed to connect to. If it's a bathroom vent, it might not be urgent, but if it's your dryer vent, that could lead to lint build-up and a fire hazard. You might want to investigate further to see what it's really for before dismissing it as not serious.

Thanks for the insight! I'm leaning towards it being the dryer vent since I use it a lot. That definitely sounds like something I should check out.
