I'm starting onions from seeds, and while they sprout beautifully, they end up falling over and dying after a couple of weeks. I can't figure out what's causing this problem. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?

This is a common issue known as damping off. It often happens in indoor settings. Make sure to water your seedlings from the bottom to avoid over-saturation on the topsoil. Also, consider using a small fan to help dry out the surface of the soil, which can prevent fungal issues.
Where exactly are they dying? In the soil or the planting mix? If they're falling over in the planting mix, that could be contributing to the problem. Make sure the mix has good drainage and the seedlings aren’t sitting in water.
