Hey everyone! I have some wood rounds, but they're not long enough to work as stool legs. I was wondering if I can connect two pieces of wood end-to-end—maybe using a dowel joint along the grain? I'd like to know if this would be sturdy enough for use. I've seen mixed opinions on this, so I wanted to get some insights from you all!

It's definitely doable! You can use a long dowel and drill a hole deep enough to make a solid connection. Just a heads up, it's a bit of a halfway solution, and while it might hold up for a couple of years, it won't be the most robust option. But hey, give it a shot!

Might as well try! Thanks!
