I've recently started using my Bosch GOF 130 router, and I'm struggling to maintain a straight cut. It tends to jerk unexpectedly, making my cuts inconsistent. I know it comes with a parallel guide, but that hasn't helped much either. I've heard that using a Bosch Guide Rail Adapter with guide rails might be a better solution. Is this the right approach? Can anyone suggest the models of guide rail adapters and compatible guide rails for my router? Also, what can I do if I need to make curved cuts?

One effective approach is to clamp a straight edge to your workpiece. The router's baseplate has a straight section that can ride along this edge. You can use a piece of plywood or metal as the straight edge, secured with c-clamps or bar clamps. Just remember to account for the offset between the baseplate edge and the bit. For cutting curves, create a template, often using sanders or hand tools, and follow it with a pattern bit. You can stick the template to your workpiece with double-stick tape.

Can you share some links to video tutorials demonstrating this technique? I'm new to woodworking and could use some visual guidance.
