I have this really unsightly chain link fence right outside my living room windows, and honestly, it's a real eyesore. The city doesn't seem to care about fixing it, but I've noticed there's enough earth along the bottom for smaller plants to grow. I'm looking for suggestions on some vining plants that could climb up the fence and help hide its ugliness. I wouldn't mind if they're a bit invasive; I just want to make it look better. Any ideas?

Consider planting blackberries! Not only do they grow quickly, but you can also enjoy some delicious berries once they're established. Plus, they look pretty good climbing up a fence.
Hey, before you decide, it might help to know your general location or planting zone. That way, we can suggest plants that will thrive in your specific conditions. Also, steer clear of trumpet vine! It's super invasive and can cause a lot of headaches with roots spreading everywhere.
Morning glory is a solid choice since it’s pretty vigorous and does well as a climbing plant. You might also want to think about herbs like mint or lemon balm, as they can spread easily too! Just make sure to keep an eye on them depending on your space.

Thanks for the warning! I definitely don’t want something that will take over everything.
