Help! I Made My Office Smell Bad with Mosquito Bits – What Should I Do?

I've really messed up at work! I have around 40 plants in my cubicle, trying to create a happy space for myself since I'll be spending a lot of time here. But I was dealing with some gnats and decided to soak mosquito bits in my watering can to get rid of them. Now my office reeks, and I've had to move my plants to the conference room with the window cracked. I'm super embarrassed, especially since I haven't been here long. Is there a way to eliminate the gnats without making the smell worse or using mosquito bits?

You could also use BTI drops from Microbe-Lift. They work similarly to mosquito bits but won't smell as bad. For future outbreaks, sticky traps and dishes with a mix of old wine and a bit of dish soap can catch gnats too! If you can't use sticky traps directly on the plants, try putting them in holder inserts to make it easier.

Wow, 40 plants is quite the commitment for just three months! For those gnats, have you tried putting a layer of sand on top of your plants' soil? It can really help. Also, using sticky traps is a good way to catch them without any smell. Good luck!

Consider using nematodes to handle your gnat problem. They can be really effective in dealing with these pests! Just make sure you treat your plants consistently. Also, replacing your potting soil for a peat-free mix can prevent gnats from even starting in the first place.

Good call on the peat-free soil! Any specific brands you recommend?
