How to Create a Safe Heated Cabinet for Storing Finishes?

I'm moving my workshop to a larger space, but the new area isn't temperature controlled. I want to build a cabinet to store my finishes like glues and epoxies, using a small heating element to keep the temperature stable. Ideally, I need a temperature control unit that will activate the heater when it gets too cold inside the cabinet. Any suggestions on temp control systems that would work for this setup?

Have you thought about using an Inkbird temperature controller with a greenhouse heater? Just be cautious with really flammable items—I recommend using a tubular heater without exposed elements. A heat mat could also work!

Thanks for the tips! I’ve got time this summer to plan out the best solution.

I used to store my finishes in my house since my attached garage only has a space heater that I turn on before I work. Just a heads up, having a heating element in a closed cabinet with flammable finishes can be pretty risky. If you must go that route, make sure to prioritize safety!

Yeah, I totally get that! Since I'm moving further from my house, I worry about leaving them exposed and ruining them.

Another option is to use a 40w bulb with a timer that can turn on as needed. Just be sure it’s the kind with tabs to pull for control!
