What Are Some Easy Flowers for Beginners?

Asked By GardenNinja42 On

I'm new to gardening and looking for recommendations on a few flowering perennials that are super easy to care for. They need to thrive in full afternoon sun and should be suitable for containers in my front yard. Ideally, I want varieties that won't grow too tall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider Yarrow. It's really resilient and requires minimal care while providing some lovely blooms!

Rudbeckia and Echinacea are fantastic options. They’re both low-maintenance and bloom for a good stretch of time. If you want to add some color, maybe throw in some annuals like blue lobelia beside them! I grow them from seed and they’re surprisingly hardy for how delicate they look.

Thanks for the tips! I love the idea of combining them with some annuals!
