Best Materials for Gravel Walkway Borders that Can Handle Wet Conditions?

I'm looking for a durable material to create a border for my backyard gravel walkway. Currently, I'm using pressure-treated wood, but it hasn't held up well against moisture. The border needs to be half-buried in the ground and able to take screws or nails for assembly into a rectangular shape. It would be similar to a 1"x4" board, but I need something that's better suited for wet conditions. I've thought about lawn edging but find it too flimsy for my needs. Is there a specific product or composite material that fits these requirements?

You might want to check out PVC trim boards; they come in sizes like 1x4 and could work for your project. Just a heads-up, you might still need to use some paver edge to prevent warping over time.

Have you considered using rubber borders? They work really well and can be shaped to fit your walkway as needed. It's a flexible solution that should hold up better against moisture compared to wood.

I found some L-shape rubber products at Home Depot, they look pretty promising!
