I just bought the Milwaukee M18 router (model 2723-20) after researching routers for a week. It checks all my boxes for what I need. Now, I'm curious about router bits—what brands do you all like best, and which types of bits do you think are essential to have in a router kit?

I recommend checking out Bits & Bits. They offer some solid options that might fit your needs!
General advice is to go for mid-range bits for your project needs. Use them until they wear out, and then invest in higher quality bits. It’s not worth it to buy high-end bits if you’re just getting started.
I really like Whiteside and Amana bits. They've worked great for me and seem to hold up well over time!

That's good advice! Speaking of mid-range, do you have specific brands in mind? Like Freud or Bosch?
