Baker Creek vs. Johnny’s Seeds: Which is Better for Germination?

I've been using Baker Creek seeds for about seven years, but the last two years have been really disappointing with hardly any sprouts. I wanted to stick with them out of loyalty, but after another unsuccessful attempt this year, I'm ready to switch it up. I just received a Johnny's catalog and I'm excited to give them a try! Has anyone had good results with Johnny's in terms of sprouting and plant quality?

Baker Creek has been hit or miss for me too. This year, I tried MiGardener and I was thrilled with a 100% germination rate from their seeds! Plus, I'm based in California, and I found that San Diego Seed Company has seeds that do really well in our climate.

I've used both brands. I mostly stick to Baker Creek, but I did have one pack that came with way fewer seeds than promised. Johnny's has been consistent for me as well, but I've encountered stock issues occasionally.

I've had great luck with Johnny's seeds over the last couple of years! Their germination rates are impressive and they have a fantastic variety of seeds. I recommend them to friends all the time because of how reliable they've been for me.

Definitely go with Johnny's! In my experience, they are probably the best out there. All my starters from them sprouted quickly, and you might even find a coupon online for shipping discounts!
