I need advice on preventing my dogs from digging under the fence. I've noticed they found a way to escape by digging, and I'm considering using cinder blocks to create a barrier. Is it sufficient to just dig a trench for the cinder blocks and make sure they're level? Are there any additional steps I should take to secure them?

I took a different approach by pounding half-inch rebar into the ground alongside the fence. I drove it about two and a half feet deep every foot and a half. It was a bit of work, but it worked well enough that my dogs gave up digging altogether after their first try at it. No more escapes!
Another option could be to look into products like Dig Defence, although they can be pricey if you have a large area to cover. I think they’re worth considering if you want something more permanent without relying solely on cinder blocks.
Using cinder blocks is a solid plan! When I did it, I just dug a trench along the base of the fence, got the blocks level, and it worked like a charm to contain my chow. Just be aware that while it solves the digging issue, some dogs might still find ways to jump over, so keep that in mind!
Did you find any other effective methods to prevent jumping? I'm looking for ideas!

Yeah, I love the idea but the cost adds up if you need to cover a big area!
