Should I Remove Male Flowers from My Cantaloupe Plant?

I have a cantaloupe plant that's got about a dozen leaves and it's already producing male flowers. I'm wondering if I should pinch these off to encourage more vine growth or if it's better to just leave them as they are? Any advice would be appreciated!

Yeah, just give it time. The male flowers are normal and necessary for pollination even if they seem to come in a bit earlier than expected. Don’t stress, your plant will catch up soon!

I’d say leave them alone! The first flowers that appear are usually male, so you don’t want to disturb them. Just wait it out; female flowers will show up eventually. Patience is key with these plants!

I can relate! It does feel like the male flowers come so early—when the vines aren’t even that long. But trust the process, they’ll balance out!
