I recently tried to work on my truck but found that my current compact 3/8 impact wrench isn't cutting it for tough jobs like lug nuts, suspension bolts, and brake bolts. I'm looking to upgrade to something more powerful. Would a high-impact or mid-impact wrench be the better choice for occasional home DIY, with the most demanding task being maintenance on my pickup and car?

I recommend the high-impact too. You can actually adjust the power settings, so you can dial it down if you don't need full power. Plus, the mid-impact isn't really that much weaker, so you might as well get the high-impact since it's more versatile.
Definitely go with the high-impact! It's going to give you that extra power you need for tougher jobs without breaking a sweat.

That makes sense! Sounds like the high-impact is the way to go for both heavy duty and lighter tasks.
