I'm excited to start a garden and I have a 4x8-foot raised box that I want to use. I'm planning on growing carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe a few other veggies. However, I'm not sure how to arrange everything so that there's enough space for each plant. Any design suggestions?

It's great that you're diving into gardening! Just keep in mind that tomatoes can get pretty large, and I often underestimate how much space lettuce needs too. A good tip is to consider one tomato plant per 5-gallon bucket, spaced a few feet apart. That way, you're giving them plenty of room to grow without overcrowding each other.

Do you think planting the tomatoes outside of the box and using a bucket nearby would work? That way, they can get the space they need!
