I just moved into a new place, and my living room window gets so hot and sunny that it even melted a vinyl record! All my existing plants are used to low-light conditions from my old apartment, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm considering a carnivorous plant that could thrive in these intense conditions. Any recommendations for hearty plants that will love the sun there?

For those intense temps, you could try some tropical plants like Nepenthes or sundews. They do pretty well indoors. Just a heads up, though, Venus flytraps and Sarracenia might not be the best fit since they're more outdoor plants.

A sundew sounds great! I love setting up that marshy habitat for them!
