As a homeowner, I'm really struggling to find reliable products that actually last. I seem to have beef with various tools and appliances, especially garden hoses. Every hose and nozzle I've tried seems to break or leak within a season. Has anyone else had similar experiences and what would you recommend?

Oh man, garden hoses and nozzles can be such a pain! I've tried everything too, from cheap plastic to expensive metal ones, and they all seem to give out way too soon. Right now, I'm using Zero-G hoses, and while they're better than the alternatives I've tried, they're still not great. Honestly, if you want something that lasts, go for a good quality rubber hose. I've had my Craftsman hose for over 20 years and it's still holding strong. As for nozzles, I switched to a simple brass nozzle that costs around $5. It's not fancy but it gets the job done.
Also, don’t forget to keep the hose in the shade when you can. That can help it last longer in the sun!
I've totally given up on finding good quality furniture! I visited several stores recently and everything seems like it's made to fall apart. I used to find solid pieces for reasonable prices, but now it's all cheap, flimsy stuff. Estate sales have been a decent resource, but even then you have to sift through a lot of junk. It's such a bummer because I want pieces that last and look good.
Right? It's either overpriced antiques or Ikea-quality stuff. I think a lot of it comes down to how they mass-produce things now.
Totally! The furniture industry has shifted massively. Sometimes you really have to hunt down local artisans or focus on used items that have better build.
My biggest beef is with appliances. They just don't last like they used to. I recently had a washer that failed after just a couple of years, and dealing with customer service for replacements or repairs is such a hassle. I've found a few decent brands like Whirlpool, but even they have had their moments. I guess my advice would be to avoid the trendy brands and stick with the ones known for reliability.
I hear you on appliances! I've also been burned by Samsung fridges. They freeze up so easily and parts are expensive to replace.
Yeah, and the new models often seem to come with all these unnecessary gadgets that only complicate things.

I feel you! I've moved on to brass nozzles too. They may not have as many fancy settings, but at least they last and are inexpensive to replace if needed.
