Hey everyone! I'm trying to make a decision between getting a leaf blower or a leaf vacuum/mulcher. At my local Home Depot, I see tons of options for leaf blowers, but only a couple of leaf vacuums. I like the idea of the vacuum/mulcher because it seems easier to just suck up the leaves and spread the mulch around the yard rather than blowing them into a pile and then bagging them. I've heard mulching is good for the lawn, but I'm curious if leaf vacuums actually work well or if they have too many downsides.
I've read that they might clog easily, struggle with wet leaves, and fill up fast, which could get annoying. Still, if they work effectively, they seem like the better option overall. What does everyone think? Thanks!

I've used both, and if your yard doesn't have a ton of trees, a vacuum can be pretty useful. Just keep in mind, if you have a lot of leaves, you'll be emptying that bag often. And definitely wear a mask since the leaf dust can be intense!
I think you can also use a lawnmower to mulch and bag leaves, which might be worth considering! It's a solid alternative if you have one already.
I own a blower/mulcher combo myself, and with multiple large trees, it's been a game-changer. I mostly use the vacuum on the deck or for blowing leaves into easily manageable piles. It does struggle with wet leaves, but I find the shredding capability really helpful. Keep in mind the transition between blower and vacuum takes a few minutes, and while it's electric and fairly quiet, the cord can be a hassle.

Which vacuum blower combo do you have? I'm considering one!
