Hey everyone! I've got this old ski chair that I'm hoping to mount and swing in my backyard. It's a bit tricky, though, because I have a 9ft center pole and traditional mounting methods just won't cut it. Has anyone tried something like this before? Where did you find your supplies? I'd really appreciate any tips or ideas! Thanks!

I’m a bit confused about your setup. Do you have any pictures of what you’re working with? That might help others provide better advice!
Check out this idea I found! It involves using a custom mount that allows for the chair to swing properly without needing to rely on a standard mounting system. A fabrication shop could easily help you create something that's both sturdy and functional. Honestly, the traditional setup won't work with that pole height. You'll need a creative solution to ensure it swings safely. Have you thought about adjustable mounts or something more custom? Maybe look for a local shop that can help you out with that.

That design looks great, but keep in mind that supporting a heavy chair from the top of a 9' pole can get a bit expensive. Make sure you factor in strength and safety when planning your setup!
