Do I need to worry about 1/32 inch differences in my drawer design?

I'm not really a woodworker, but I've put together a design for a drawer system for the back of my 4runner using 1/2" and 3/4" wood pieces. Then I found out that plywood comes in 15/32" or 23/32" thicknesses. If I stick to my original measurements, is that 1/32 inch difference going to be a problem?

Great thoughts all around! Just remember to dry fit everything before you fully assemble. Measure your actual materials, since sometimes they can differ from what's listed. Adjust as needed for a good fit, and you should end up fine!

It sounds like you're taking a practical approach! If you've already planned for a bit of gap, like your 1/8" allowance, you’re on the right track. As for the drawer slides, just double-check those measurements to ensure they'll fit well with your design.

Honestly, as long as you’re careful with your measurements and cuts, that 1/32" difference shouldn't be a huge issue. Just make sure everything aligns properly when you're assembling it and you should be good to go.
