Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with organizing my tools at home. I have a couple of toolboxes, including a standard 3-tier one and another that's more suited for a mechanic's shop, complete with deep drawers and plug-in receptacles. As a mechanic and welder, I need to be organized for professional work, but I find myself buying a bunch of Packouts without knowing what to fill them with. Currently, I'm tossing duplicate tools into the Packouts, but my budget doesn't allow for tons of duplicates, so many boxes are just empty. I also have trouble storing peculiar items like threaded adapters for my angle grinders or dust bags for my sander. I'd love to hear how you all set up your Packouts and toolboxes. Any tips or examples would be greatly appreciated!

As a woodworker, I have a rolling tool cart for my most-used gear. I keep screws and fasteners in Packouts mounted on the wall for easy access when I’m doing onsite work. This setup has made a huge difference for me; no more clutter getting in my way while trying to work!
Wow, I love your setup! Being able to grab tools quickly makes projects so much easier.
I organize my Packouts by specific tasks. One is for electrical tools, another for saws, and so on. This way, I grab what I need for whatever project I'm working on. I also keep my automotive tools in a separate box to avoid the chaos of mixing everything together.
I like that idea! Why mix home repair tools with automotive ones? It saves a ton of time when everything is already sorted by what I'll need.
Using separate boxes for different jobs sounds smart! I go by the same principle and it really streamlines my work. I also use clear bags to sort smaller items, which works well for finding what I need quickly.
One thing that really helped me was getting a label maker. It’s great to label each drawer, which makes everything easier to find. Just make sure to put things back in their labeled spots so it stays organized!
That sounds like a solid method! I wish there were label holders on the boxes themselves, but keeping everything labeled definitely helps keep my sanity.
Totally agree! A label maker not only helps with organization but forces you to think about what you have and where it goes.

That’s a great idea! Having a dedicated cart for your frequently used tools must save so much time. I might need to implement a similar system.
