I've been collecting different types of pothos plants for a while now, and as a Canadian, I know how brutal winters can be. Typically, I only lose a couple of plants each winter, but this year, almost all of them have died. I haven't changed anything in my care routine. I'm looking for tips on how to keep my plants warm during these cold months.

In Alberta, I keep my house at around 22°C and use a humidifier for my plants. I have about 20 plants, and I haven’t lost any to the cold. Maintaining a warm, humid environment seems key!
What exactly is causing your plants to die? Is it just the cold, or maybe they’re getting overwatered or not enough light? It might help to check how cold your living space is as well. Sometimes minor changes can make a huge difference!
This is so true! Understanding care requirements based on the seasons is vital. We sometimes forget how their needs shift.
My room tends to be freezing, especially since it's above the garage, and unfortunately, it feels colder this year. I always water when the soil is dry, but maybe something's off.
Since you're dealing with cold winters, maybe using grow lights could help, especially if natural sunlight is hard to come by. I've got a friend up in Alaska, and they swear by grow lights. It really helps the plants thrive even when the light drops during winter.
I just started using grow lights this year too, and the difference has been amazing. My plants are growing like crazy, like winter didn't even happen!
I appreciate the suggestion! I've never used grow lights before; maybe I should give it a shot.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll consider adjusting my indoor temperature.
