Hey everyone! I recently had my tools stolen and I'm looking to replace them. I'm pretty confused about the different models and battery types available. I mainly do DIY projects around the house and I don't do heavy construction. Can anyone break down the differences in the drill models and batteries for me? Also, what do you think about this specific combo kit I found? Thanks for your help! If you're a casual DIYer, any of the batteries will work fine for you! The PowerStack battery is different from the cylindrical cells you see in standard lithium-ion batteries; it's a pouch cell, which allows it to have a quicker discharge rate for more power. But honestly, for hanging shelves and light household tasks, you’ll be just fine with regular batteries. You probably don’t need to upgrade unless you’re really maxing out your current batteries. As for drills, the DCD805 is highly recommended for homeowners. It's great without breaking the bank! If you're doing heavy-duty stuff like drilling into concrete, then go for a hammer drill like the DCD1007 or DCD999, but for general use, the DCD805 will do just fine! Hope this helps!
For the best all-rounder, consider the DCD800 and DCF850 combo with batteries and a charger. It's an excellent setup for regular DIY tasks. Also, the DCS391 is a nice homeowner-grade circular saw, typically found bundled with other tools as a great deal. If you're looking for versatility and solid performance, these are worth checking out!
Thank you!! I was wondering if this combo kit is similar. [Here it is](https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20V-MAX-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-2-Tool-Combo-Kit-with-2-POWERSTACK-1-7Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-DCK226E2/325855194).
This combo kit looks like a great deal for $200! The included batteries are basic at 1.3Ah, but for a DIY homeowner, the tools themselves are solid. I found a similar deal that might interest you too! [Check it out here](https://www.acmetools.com/dewalt-20v-max-combo-kit-and-oscillating-multi-tool-bundle/S0000000086472.html). It could be a good option to consider!
I was looking into this deal on Home Depot, good to know it’s recommended. Thanks!

Thanks, I actually learned a lot about how batteries work just from that!
