Is My Solar Installation Transformer Sized Right for My Setup?

Hey everyone, I set up a 4.6kW solar panel system two years ago and recently upgraded to around 8kW by adding more panels. Lately, I've noticed that my system caps out at about 5kW when it's sunny. Upon checking, I discovered that my transformer is rated 12VDC/200VAC with a 5kVA capacity. The solar panel company insists that this transformer can handle three times its capacity (15kVA), but I'm doubtful. What do you guys think?

Thanks to everyone for chiming in! This sheds some light on my transformer concerns.

The transformer output is indeed limited to 5 kVA. Even if the supplier says it can take input from a 15 kVA generator, that doesn't mean it will boost the output. You'll need a more powerful transformer if you want to increase the output capacity based on your upgraded panels.

Could you provide more details about your setup? Like the model numbers or if you have batteries included? That might help us understand the situation better. Also, if the transformer is from a less-known brand, it could affect performance down the line.
