Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for some good solar kits for my 5th wheel RV. I'm looking to power everything except for a washer, dryer, or dishwasher. If you have personal experience with a kit that works well for you, I would love to hear your recommendations!

The best kit can depend on your RV’s size and your power needs. I’d suggest checking out a Growatt 3000 LVM-24p with two 280ah 12v batteries in series. It can handle about 2000w of solar and works well with smaller setups, but you’ll want to figure out where to install it in your 5th wheel!
For kits, I’ve had good luck with Renogy—definitely go for a setup that includes an inverter/charger and fill it with as many panels and batteries as you can afford. It'll pay off in the long run!
It's not a straightforward choice! You'll need to consider how much power you'll use, especially if you want to run high-load appliances like your A/C. That usually means you'll need a lot more panels and battery storage than you might think. Definitely check that out before buying!
Roof space is super important when planning your solar setup. I had to add some structure to my RV to fit 3600 watts of panels! If you're limited on space, you might want to go with smaller panels, like 100w-200w, that can fit better without a lot of extra modifications. Also, keep in mind that lighter panels often cost more but can save weight on your roof! Shading is a big deal too—parallel wiring helps if you have partial shade issues. I recommend optimizing your layout for maximum sunlight exposure!
Thanks for the tips! Definitely taking note of the shading issue.

Oh, I totally get that! Just looking for brands or systems people have found reliable. Some are definitely better than others.
