Will my 2000 lb snooker table be too heavy for my game room?

Hey everyone! We're in the process of buying our first house and about to dive into some major renovations. I've got a game room that's already been reinforced for a 1500 lb pool table, but we plan on adding a 2000 lb snooker table. I'm wondering if this extra weight will be an issue. Do you have any tips on how to reinforce the space or anything else we should consider? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely check what's underneath the room! If there are strong joists, you might be okay, but it’s best to have a plan for reinforcement just in case.

It's tough to say without knowing the specifics about the joists and posts under the game room. If the table's legs are near the walls, which should be well-supported, that’s a good start. Just monitor how it sits once you’ve got it in place!

That's good to know! Unfortunately, my table will go right in the middle of a smaller room. Just curious if anyone's tackled a similar weight difference before. Learning as I go!

Fingers crossed your room has a concrete ground floor! That would help a lot with stability. If not, you might need to reinforce things a bit more. Let me know what you find out from the current owner!

Yeah, sadly it’s on the second floor. Trying to piece together info about the support underneath, but it’s a bit tricky!
