I'm having a tough time finding an electrician who can handle wiring for PV systems. I've reached out to eight electricians in my area (Savannah) who do generator installations, but they all seem stumped by the task. Does anyone know a reliable person in Savannah who can take care of the transfer switch and connect load and grid circuits for an off-grid system?

You might want to check the permitting requirements in your area. Where I am, we could do everything except the connection to the meter. The electrician only needed to handle the part from the disconnect to the side taps, and that took him less than 30 minutes. Just a thought!
I feel your pain! I’m located in Charleston, SC, and can help you out, though I’m not licensed. I've done this kind of work at my previous job for years. Let me know if you want to chat more about it!
It sounds like finding the right electrician can be a real challenge. From my experience, if you know exactly what you want, it helps to inform them, or they might not get it right. I had regular electricians wire my system based on my directions, and it worked out fine, even for my smaller 3kw setup.
