I'm considering installing a boiling water tap in my small kitchen to save some counter space. I'm curious if there are any significant downsides I'm unaware of. Is a dedicated boiling water tap a better choice compared to a multi-function faucet? What do you all think?

I think it’s a great investment if you regularly need hot water. We’ve had them in two different homes, and they weren't hard to install. Just make sure not to cheap out—I've had cheaper models burn out quickly, while the more robust ones lasted for years without a hitch.
Definitely check your under-sink storage and outlet space first! They need a dedicated 15 amp circuit, so you'll want to ensure you have enough power available. It might save you space by getting rid of an old kettle, but just be aware of these installation needs before diving in.
Same! The convenience is why I'm considering it too, especially with small kitchens.
If you can handle the installation and have the right setup, I say go for it! We installed one last year and it's been a game changer. We opted for an Insinkerator that heats up to 200°F, perfect for tea, rinsing dishes quickly, and boiling water for cooking. Just keep in mind, they can be pricey for what they do. But the convenience is totally worth it!
Right? I love having it for quick pasta boiling too, especially when time is tight.
That sounds awesome! I mainly need hot water for tea and cooking, so this might be the right fit for me!

Good to know! I really hate waiting for water to boil; a boiling tap sounds perfect for my needs.
