What are some tips to fix a leaking spigot?

I have a leaking spigot, and it's driving me crazy! I've tried using Teflon tape, but I'm not sure if that's the right approach. I wonder if it could be an issue with the rubber gasket or maybe even damage to the faucet itself? I cleaned everything thoroughly before reassembling, but the leak persists. Any advice on how to tackle this would be greatly appreciated! Here's a video for reference: https://youtu.be/MBCb27vYy1c?si=BlZolcI5YplNsIqz

It sounds like Teflon tape might not be the best solution for your spigot since garden hose threads don't make a proper seal like tapered pipe threads do. You might want to check if the rubber gasket is seated correctly against the faucet. Sometimes the faucet itself can be damaged, so inspecting it closely could help too! If you're up for it, disassembling it and taking a better look might reveal the culprit.

Yeah, I tried Teflon tape too, but it didn’t solve my leak. I gave everything a good clean first, and I don't think the faucet is damaged either. I'm starting to think maybe the Eley splitter is too deep for the gasket to make a proper seal. I'm even considering adding a second gasket to see if that fixes the problem.
