I was giving one of my plants a shower, chatting away as usual, and mentioned how nice the rain must feel on its leaves. Then it hit me - this plant has never actually been outside! It made me a bit sad to think about. Has anyone else pondered this?

I always put my plants outside from late spring until autumn. I find they really thrive then! I think it's great for their strength, especially when winter hits here in Canada; they get so much more energy when they can soak up the outdoor vibes. Just gotta bring them in before it gets too cold!
Sounds like a nice plan! I love that they get to enjoy the weather.
Honestly, I feel the same way about my plants as I do about my indoor cats; they're comfortable and well-cared for, but a part of me wonders if they’d enjoy the wild environment. I'm sure they appreciate the cozy humidity and constant care more than being out in the elements.
That's a comforting thought! At least they're living their best indoor life.
Exactly! I often think of it as providing a safe space for them.
I like to take my plants outside whenever the weather's nice! They can really soak up some sunshine and fresh air. Just be careful of bugs; I've had to deal with infestations after letting my plants outside. It can be a real battle!
Good point! I guess the outdoors does come with its own set of challenges.
For sure, I always have to keep an eye out for pests too!

Totally! I do the same and it's like they go on a little summer vacation.
