Is Using a Plastic Bag and Paper Towel a Good Way to Start Seeds?

I'm curious about using a damp paper towel inside a plastic bag to start seeds. It seems to be the only successful method I've found for germinating seeds. Is there anything wrong with this approach?

If that method is working for you, then go for it! Just remember to check on them daily for any sprouts and move them into some potting mix when they're ready. I've had similar issues with poor germination in soil myself, so don’t feel bad!

I say stick with it! It's perfectly fine if you have success. One thing to keep in mind is the texture of your potting mix; if it's too coarse, the seeds might not get good contact or moisture. A finer mix could make a difference. That’s why the paper towel method works so well—it keeps the seeds well moistened and in good contact.
