How Long Should I Let Rags Dry After Using Danish Oil?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for advice on rag safety. After applying Danish oil (specifically Tried and True, which doesn't contain any driers), I've been leaving my rags laying around for over three weeks, and they still feel oily to me. How long do you usually let your rags dry before tossing them? Just trying to make sure I don't create a fire hazard!

My routine is to hang up the rags for about 24 hours before throwing them out. I usually use Watco, so I'm not sure if that's different from your oil, but I don’t think they pose a hazard after that time. Just make sure you feel them before you toss them!

Do they feel dry before you throw them out?

I usually spread my rags out on concrete and weigh them down with a rock or brick. Honestly, I often forget about them for a few days, but when they're stiff enough to stand up, that's when I toss them. Kind of like those old socks I used to hide under my bed as a teen! ?
