When Can I Expect New Growth from My Astrantia?

I planted a bare root astrantia in February, but I still haven't seen any new growth. Can anyone tell me when the leaves typically start to appear? Is it around this time of year, or is it still too early? Just so you know, I've placed it in a damp shady area.

I had a similar experience with my astrantia last year. I didn't see any signs of life until May or June. This year, they sprang up much earlier, so I think it just needs some time to establish itself. Hang in there!

I have two astrantias that I planted a while back, and they're already showing leaves and even a flower stem. Yours might take a little longer since it's new. Just give it some time and watch out for signs of growth. They'll surprise you!
