I recently got some moonstones as a gift, but I've been struggling to keep them healthy. They keep shriveling up and falling off, and I'm guessing it's because I'm too scared to overwater them. When I do water them, they become transparent and then drop off while still plump! I've got them in a mix of orchid bark, lava rock, and perlite for soil. Any tips on how to care for them and keep them alive?

It sounds like you might be overthinking the watering! With moonstones, it's completely normal for some of the older leaves to shrivel up and drop off as they provide hydration for new growth. I’d recommend watering only when the soil is completely dry. A good rule of thumb is to check with your finger about an inch deep to see if it feels dry. If it's really dry, give them a drink!

Yeah, I agree! Sometimes they can be a bit dramatic, but with the right watering schedule, they should perk up!
