Last year, we had vinyl siding put on a small addition to match our existing siding. However, there's a noticeable gap at the top where the new siding meets the eaves. I'm pretty sure this was done incorrectly, but I'm unsure of how to articulate the problem to my contractor. What should I ask him to fix this issue?

It seems like you might be missing some J-channel trim. This is a piece that helps create a proper seal and finish at the edges of your siding. You can find it at most home improvement stores. Check out your installation closely to see if that piece was included.

I did notice some oddities in the installation, especially in the images. Could there be a chance it's installed alright, but still causing issues?
