What’s the Deal with Hanging Plants?

Asked By PlantLover42 On

I'm curious about how hanging plants actually work. Is it better to use plastic pots for weight reasons? How do you go about watering them? Can you use a catch tray underneath? What kind of setups do people usually use to hang them? I'm looking to hang a few plants, but I could use some guidance to get started. Thanks for any tips!

Hanging plants are usually anchored into the ceiling, so weight isn’t too much of a concern! I prefer using macrame hangers with terracotta pots that come with catch trays. For watering, I mostly do it right where they hang, but sometimes I take them down to water from the bottom or even give them a rinse in the shower. It's super easy!

So it really is just a straightforward process! Do you have a reason for using macrame?
