Can I Plant Something in a Tree Stump Hole?

I have a tree stump from a tree that was cut down a few years ago, and it's got a pretty big hole in the center that's about 1 foot wide and 2-3 feet deep. I'm wondering if there would be any issues with planting something in that hole, especially since I live in Southwest Florida. If it's possible, what are some easy-to-care-for plants I could put in there?

Absolutely, you can plant in that stump hole! A lot of folks suggest using a container in there, too, which really lets you mix it up every year with annuals. But if you want something more permanent, maybe consider some vibrant sun-tolerant bromeliads. They'd thrive!

That sounds cool! I was leaning more towards planting a bush or even another tree, though.
