Hey everyone! I just re-caulked my kitchen sink, but the silicone caulk is super shiny and looks like it's always wet. I'm wondering if it's okay to spray a matte varnish over it once it's dry. Will there be any issues with that? Thanks for your help!

Not all caulk is paintable, so you should first check if yours is. Sometimes the paint just beads right off! You might want to test a small area to see how it reacts before going all in on the spray paint.
Haha, no explosions! Just expect the paint to peel or not stick properly in that case.
Just a heads up, silicone caulk generally isn’t paintable, so using a matte finish spray paint on it might not work out. There are matte finish silicone caulks made just for this purpose if you're looking for that finish without the hassle.

Got it! I'll do a little test patch. Just curious, what happens if I accidentally paint non-paintable caulk? It won't blow up or anything, right? 😉
