What’s a Fair Price for Selling My Home-Grown Tomatoes?

I just transplanted 46 tomato plants into bigger pots since the weather's been nice in my Zone 7b garden. I'm excited about them, though I might lose a few in the process. I'm focusing on the Marglobe and Campbell 33 varieties this season. Since I plan on selling most of these, what do you think would be a reasonable price to ask?

I’ve seen a local guy at the farmer's market charging $5 for a small six-pack of tomato plants. That might be a good benchmark for you.

Are you planning to sell them at a market or just set up a table at home? When my kids and I grew starts, we sold them for $5 each or 5 for $20 to neighbors. If you’re going for a farmers market, charging a bit more might work, but keep in mind you’ll need to cover the cost of renting a table.

I was thinking of using a local classifieds site to sell them instead. I’m leaning towards around $5 each just to cover my expenses from growing them.
