Hey everyone! I made a pretty silly mistake while trying to clean my dryer vent for the first time. My dryer was continuously showing an error that the vent is clogged, so I ordered a cleaning kit and followed the instructions. I was going one section at a time, screwing and unscrewing with a drill, but it became super frustrating. In my rush, I accidentally unscrewed the brush that was supposed to clean the inside of the dryer itself. Now it feels like the brush is stuck somewhere in the middle of the vent pipe. Unfortunately, the entire length of this pipe runs inside the drywall, so accessing it is a huge challenge. Just to give you a bit more context, my dryer is located on the second floor, and I can only reach the vent at the entry and exit points. Any ideas on how to fix this?

So, is the stuck brush inside the dryer or the vent pipe? If it’s in the dryer, you might need to take the dryer apart to clean it out and potentially replace any worn parts. Knowing the make and model of your dryer would help a lot! On the other hand, if it’s stuck in the vent pipe, I suggest trying to sketch out the layout. It could help others visualize and offer better suggestions.
Sounds like a tricky situation! Since it seems like the vent pipe is completely enclosed in the drywall, can you at least share where the vent exits relative to the dryer? That could help narrow down your options on how to get that brush out.
