I'm dealing with a huge thistle invasion this year, and it's really taking over a flowerbed where I planted native perennials last year. Since I know mint spreads aggressively, I'm curious if planting it could help choke out the thistle a bit. I'd prefer to pull out some lovely mint instead of the nasty thorny thistles! What do you think?

Using mint to fight thistles might not be the best idea. It's kind of like trying to put out a grease fire with water. You could end up with an even bigger mess of both plants.

Lol! That analogy really drives the point home! I get it now.
