I've been curious about growing vanilla indoors. Has anyone attempted this? Are you just keeping it as an ornamental plant, or actually harvesting the vanilla pods?

I managed to harvest 8 vanilla pods this year! It took a whole year for them to mature, and I've got a bunch of blooms coming up again. I have it growing indoors by a large southern-facing window. Just a heads up, after harvesting, the pods need a couple more months to ferment properly. I'll keep everyone updated on its progress!
