Hey everyone! I've got a problem with mealybugs on my succulents. Some of the plants seem fine, but these pesky bugs just won't go away! I've heard that Neem oil and denatured alcohol can help, but I'm looking for any advice or experiences you might have with getting rid of them. What works best?

Mealybugs can be tough to eliminate completely! I usually just spray the affected areas with isopropyl alcohol whenever I notice them popping up. It keeps them in check without too much hassle. If you’re up for some thorough treatment, you can try repotting your plants using fresh soil and doing a complete dunk in isopropyl alcohol. It's a big task, but spot treating is often easier for me. Just a heads-up, if you decide on a stronger pesticide, be mindful that it can also harm beneficial insects if your plants are outside.
Totally agree! I keep a bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol handy for spot treatments too. Sometimes I even unpot my succulents, dunk them in alcohol, and then repot in fresh soil if the mealybugs are really bad. I tried Bonide granules recommended by others, but they didn't completely wipe out the mealies for me. Still worth a shot though!
